Avocado to Guacamole

Avocados are rich in Vitamin C, A, and E, contain folate, and are super rich in antioxidants! Reason enough to eat them? Okay, they also keep eyes healthy, protect our skin, stop bad breath, prevent aging symptoms, reduce LDL cholesterol which helps diabetics, and contain more potassium than the banana.

I am a little obsessed with the avocado. I can either prepare this healthy snack in only a few minutes or prepare a beautiful spread to take to a football party or event. There are so many variations of Guacamole and you can make it just to your liking. Here are a few different recipes to try! Simple and delicious!

Your Favorite Guacamole: Mash an avocado! Add cilantro, lime juice, tomato, onion, and fresh chiles.

Bacon & Tomato Guacamole: Add bacon and chipotle chiles for a smoky flavor!

Toasted Almond Guacamole with Apricots: Dried apricots and almonds create a sweet and nutty flavor.

Pineapple and Cucumber Guacamole: Dice avocado, cucumber, and pineapple. If you like purple onion, chop and dice that and add it too!

Guacamole Taquero (Tomatillo Guacamole): Blend an avocado with tangy tomatillos for a smooth, pourable guacamole. Serve with warm, crispy tortilla chips or over tacos.

Crab Guacamole: Smash an avocado and add shredded crab meat. Add tomato or onion, or anything you wish, to this combination.
